Authorities detained Tibetan rights advocate for ten days

Tibetan rights advocate Tsering Tso was detained at her home in eastern Tibet on 12 November and held at Trikha (Chinese: Guide) County detention centre for ten days from 13 to 23 November, Tibet Watch has reported.
Tso was also fined 1,000 yuan, Tibet Watch reported.
Tibet Watch obtained a Chinese Punishment Penalty Decision Notice which said Tso posted information related to stability on WeChat and carried out a other “provocative acts.”
She was charged with violating the fourth category of illegal acts listed in under the Public Order Administration Punishments Law, Tibet Watch said.

Tso reportedly said, “They always wanted to arrest me, but they couldn’t find a reason… Finally, because of the two messages I posted on WeChat on November 2nd, I was charged with [disturbing] stability and detained for ten days.”
Tso was invited to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Program initiated by the US State Department and since she returned to Tibet, she has received warnings and threats from the authorities, Tibet Watch reported.
Tibet Watch also noted that in November 2017 she was detained by the Yushu police, beaten in the interrogation room of the Public Security Bureau of Yush and went to hospital after the incident.
